HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – December 03, 2024 : Airtech Advanced Materials Group proudly announces the qualification of its Dahltram® Resins for integration with KraussMaffei’s powerPrint Large-Format Additive Manufacturing platforms. This strategic collaboration marks a significant milestone in advancing additive manufacturing capabilities for large-scale industrial applications.

KraussMaffei Technologies GmbH leverages decades of expertise in injection molding and extrusion to deliver innovative solutions in large-format additive manufacturing. Building on this rich history in plastic processing, the KraussMaffei Additive specializes in extrusion-based 3D printing technology. At the forefront of their offering is the gantry-based system powerPrint, a powerful and efficient solution designed to enable industrial-scale production of high-quality parts with precision and consistency. To further advance its capabilities in extrusion-based 3D printing, KraussMaffei has recently expanded its portfolio to include industrial robot-based systems and standalone extrusion solutions, positioning itself as a growing force in the additive manufacturing industry.

"We are excited to collaborate with KraussMaffei to bring our Dahltram® Resins to their powerPrint platform globally," said Gregory Haye, Director of Additive Manufacturing at Airtech Advanced Materials Group. “Their unique solution of high throughput extruder combined with a controlled, heated environment presented by KraussMaffei will offer users the ability to achieve highly accurate and uniform prints with both low and high temperature resins like no other system on the market."

Dahltram® Resins, renowned for their exceptional performance and reliability, have undergone extensive testing and validation for compatibility with the powerPrint. Airtech’s Dahltram® resin range is uniquely suitable for multiple print platforms and offers unparalleled production flexibility with end-use material approvals. Extensive mechanical and thermal testing of as-printed specimens and components ensures end-users will get the high-quality results they expect from Dahltram® Resins.

"With Airtech, we have found a valuable partner who truly understands how their materials are utilized by end users," emphasized Rolf Mack, Vice President Additive Manufacturing at KraussMaffei. "Their end-to-end approach ensures a thoroughly tested material solution for our powerPrint system, offering not only excellent print and end-part quality but also deep insights into material applications. Together, we share a commitment to delivering reliable, industrial-grade solutions that customers can trust. This partnership enhances the value we bring to our customers, setting a new standard for additive manufacturing."

By qualifying Dahltram® Resins for integration with KraussMaffei’s powerPrint Large-Format Additive Manufacturing platform, both companies hope to support growth in strategic markets throughout the world.

The partnership was unveiled at Formnext 2024, where Airtech showcased a large 3D-printed composite curing tool. KraussMaffei also demonstrated live printing on the powerPrint platform using Dahltram® C-250GF Resins, highlighting the combined strength of their technologies.
